Bryn DarkAmber

Personality:

Bryn grew up a wild, mischevious child. Raised by her grandmother, she was taught to respect all things, and to make her own choices, not the ones expected of her. She was generally a happy child who knew her parents only as passing figures in her life. Visiting her only when it was convient for them.

After a happening with her father, when he found his daughter to soft for his liking, she changed. She become confused and angry at a world that didn't seem to want her. This confusion on her place in the scheme of things caused her to lash out in anger.

Told that she was weak, and that for the family she must never be weak, by her father, yet told to be herself by others, she is unsure about what to be. Dispite all this, is is still rather nieve about the world.

She now seems to more and more, look to her Master for things, being, in her eyes, the only grownup that has never lied to her, ot told her she'd understand when she was older, or abondoned her.

Background:

The daughter of Simion and Kindra DarkAmber, Bryn has been forced to grow up fast. Told by her grandmother to be herself, and taught the proper respect of all things. Yet told by her father that innocence is weakness, and that she must grow up and to never be weak like the other children. This has caused a great deal of confusion in the girls life. After several happenings with her father, she become somewhat angry and bitter at the world as a whole.

Until she met Kandren and his family. They showed her what a real family should have been like, what she always wanted hers to be. Yet what it never was. She learned how to swim, and to sing and dance with them. Things she had never done before that. For this she looked to them for everything, including a substitute family.

She recently became an apprentice to Jvar, a powerful liche who rules the Isle of the Dead. She found that he made more sense then anyone she had ever met. He promised her that he would never lie to her, never coat the truth to her. And for this, she now looks to him to teach her about the world, showing her things about it no one had before.

Upon becoming Jvar's second apprentice a distance grew between Bryn and the Malorians. She tried hard to escape her past and her family, seeking nothing more then to become part of the dream she found in the Malorian family. But the dream was not to be. Dark forces were against her, and distanced her for them, and more importantly, from the man she loved, Kandren Malorian. In time he become disgusted with his friend, and cast her away, wanting nothing to do with her. This broke her heart and drove her into a despair from which she never recovered.

In her pain she turned to two people, her sister Amaya, who like her, had turned her back ontheir parents in favor of their grandmother Lilith, and a sidhe boy whom Lilith tormented in his dreams, Ebriel. Her sister offered to help, unbinding Bryn once and for all from the family, against Lilith's wishes, she removed Bryn's mark. Free but not, she had little mind left. Ebriel stepped in now to care for her, winning a part of her heart thought dead. Not long after, a child was born, a sidhe girl, with one eye of silver, one eye of gold.

Before anyone could find out, she gave this child to the one person she had always trusted, he dragon guardian Brannin. She made a plea to him and to any gods who might hear, to keep her daughter from the family and the curse they carried. He of course agreed to care for the daughter of his young charge, asking no questions of her.

Within mere hours, Bryn was dead, having thrown herself off the top of the high tower where generations of her family lived. Leaving her daughter free and safe.
