Lilith glances up and at Madesta and asks, 'I understand you're a seer of sorts?' She had heard of the odd old woman from others, and had become curious. Madesta smiles and nods a little. 'I see some thin's, yes.' Lilith nods slightly, glancing around. 'Perhaps you have time to meet?' Madesta nods. 'Always, anywhere you prefer?' She seems to consider and asks Madesta 'Do you know where the Slain hero is?' She couldn't decide where to speak to this old woman, but thought she would rather have her on her own turf then out in the open. Madesta nods, indication she would be there, awaiting the demon. The demoness moves silently through her house, and down the belcony stairs into her garden. She spots her son Simion as she goes and decides that the gardens will not be a good place as she passes unseen into her store. She spots Claira in the chair and frowns to herself, there would not be a good spot either. She sees the human woman standing before Mogor and steps forward, nodding at her. Madesta smiles, peering about. Her blank white eyes blink...'Is someone here?' she asks. Lilith looks at her carefully. You see a human woman, advanced in years but not old just yet. She wears heaps of thick, flowing fabric that could probably be mistaken for clothing. Her skin is a dark ebony color, but her eyes are blank white--the eyes of the blind. Her limbs are obscured underneath her clothing, but seem to carry her quite sturdily. Her hair is black as midnight and trails behind her, apparently being trimmed only infrequently. She always has some sort of secretive, enigmatic grin on her face. After looking her over the Dark Lady asks 'Are you blind?' She glances about and lands, folding her wings around her shoulders. Madesta smiles. 'Of course, chil'. Been blin' since the day I was born.' Lilith listens to the peasant dialect and smirks. 'Interesting' Madesta hears footsteps on the ground, and turns to the sound. 'Ah, there ye are.' She smiles. Lilith tilts her head and holds out an arm near you. 'I suppose it will not matter if we go to the gardens or the throneroom, if you'll follow me.' She glances about again as Madesta nods quietly and follows her. Madesta says 'Where'er you wish.' She quickly leads the woman up the stairs into her throneroom, closing the door behind them. Madesta limps into the room. Lilith leans down to pat a silver wolf on its head. She straightens moves towards her throne. Madesta taps her walking stick delicately about a bit, trying to get an idea of the lay of the room. Lilith stands before her throne and turns to face the woman. 'My son is in the gardens, so this will be fine.' She sits on a large ornate Throne of Ebony. Madesta nods, her blank eyes not moving. 'It's a simple room, mostly for meeting people in.' the demon tells her, to illustrate it for her. Madesta slowly settles to the floor, a bone or two creaking on the way down. She leans heavily on her walking stick. 'It's interesting, the only other true seer I met was blind aswell.' Lilith tilts her head at the old woman, considering this. Madesta cocks her head to the side. 'It seems tha' not bein' able to see leads to secon' sight.' The Dark Lady smiles to herself. 'So it would seem. Shame she was antrippan, she was a good source of information. So tell me seeress, what do you see?' Lilith rests her elbow on the thrones arm and sits her chin in her palm, fixing her unblinking stare on Madesta. Madesta says 'I see...vague things. Pasts. Futures. Sometimes, things no one wants to see. First things first--Have ye a name? I'd not call you chil', as your voice shows ye to be close to my age, mebbe.' Lilith lets out a low laugh. 'Indeed, I am actually much older, over two hundred years older in fact. People call me the Dark Lady, but my name is Lilith.' Madesta nods slowly. 'Lilith...' She looks in Lilith's general direction. 'Were those wings I heard? No angel, though, not you.' Lilith smiles to herself. 'Indeed, it was wings, and no, an angel I am not. I'm one of the fallen, one of the first. I'm a demoness.' Madesta nods. 'A demoness...' She smiles. 'You're the firs' one I've met, Lilith. But...enough small talk. I'm guessin' there's a reason you needed to talk t'me?' Lilith smiles slightly. 'Curiosity I suppose. You're the talk of the realm, I thought I would see you for myself.' Madesta grins broadly. 'Talk of the realm, listen to 'er talk. I merely tol' an angel a few things she prol'ly already knew, but wouldna face.' The demons face never changes from her amused look. 'Yes, I imagine so, but it made me curious anyway. Such things have always interested me.' Madesta nods and asks. 'Are ye a seer yoursel', Lilith? Aspirin' to be one, perhaps? Or merely curious about seein'?' She tilts her head slightly, a faint memory flickers across her crimson eyes. 'I was once. I had an accident of sorts,' She stops. 'And I am no longer. The power was taken away. Now it merely interests me.' Madesta nods. She says 'It's eas'ly lost, if one god or another wills it, or somethin' happens to it. I've been lucky so far, I s'pose.' Madesta smiles wryly. Lilith smiles slightly. 'Powers shift, lose one, gain another. It always balances itself in the end.' Taps a nail on her black mask absently. Madesta nods again in agreement. Madesta says 'Pardon a second.' She reaches into her pack and retreives a small loaf of bread, she then eats it. She frowns but nods slightly. Madesta looks up. 'Sorry ta eat in front of ye, demoness Lilith.' Lilith shrugs slightly. 'A disgusting habit, but I understand many must do it.' She tries to contain her sudden urge to strike the old woman. Madesta nods, smiling. Seemingly ignorant to what was almost her death. 'At any rate. Exac'ly what aspects of seein' are you curious about? Mebbe I can feed your curiousity.' She says, still smiling. Lilith remains motionless, her face now blank. 'Indeed, that was my hope. How do you see? Can you will it, or does it come and go as it pleases?' Madesta half-smiles. 'Sometimes, when I want it to be, it's there. Usu'lly needs just a little concentration and the right actions, appeasin' the spirits and all.' 'The antrippan seer couldn't will it, she came to me when she saw something.' The demon frowns so slightly, it's almost imposible to detect. Madesta says 'But usu'lly it just comes unbidden, and leaves me to figure out what it meant.' She smiles dryly. Nodding slightly, Lilith asks 'You told the angel things about herself, how?' Lilith leans forward and peers at the seeress. Madesta says 'Her palm. I can read palms, somethin's about 'em anyway.' Her smile fades slightly 'People don' talk--but their hands do.' Nodding again, having already known this, asks 'Ah, could you so read mine as you did hers?' Madesta cocks her head to the side. 'I suppose I coul' try. Only hands I haven' been able to read are the haikjade'ms of Hassis. Too many scales.' Madesta chuckles dryly. Lilith smiles slightly. 'I do not have scales, but I have been told demon palm can not be read, I am curious if they just were to scared, or if they were right.' Madesta asks 'We'll star' simple. Right hand, please?' Lilith holds out her right hand to Madesta. Madesta holds Lilith's right hand in her left, tracing a finger of her right hand over the palm. She inhales sharply. 'This...this may be a li'l difficult.' She shifts slightly. 'Ye've not got many of the lines of any oth'r hand. I'll hafta figure out which ones you -do- have.' Madesta thinks deeply. Remaining motionless, Lilith nods patiently. Madesta places a finger between Lilith's first and middle fingers, and traces it to the left, curving off your hand. She nods satisfactorily. 'Seems you've got a lifeline. Quite a long one too, as exp'cted of a 200-year-ol' demoness, no?' She chuckles wryly. Lilith smiles slightly. Madesta says, 'Cross'd by one major line...one former life. Deep in places...' She hms. 'VERY deep, for a palmline. Great tragedy in your past, I see...' Lilith tilts her head curiously, but says nothing. Madesta moves her finger down along the demons palm, feeling nothing until she gets to the bottom, where the hand joins the wrist. She traces it as it curves up and to the right. 'Your emotions, Lady Lilith...quite strong, aren' they?' The Dark Lady flares her nostrils, as if in anger, but smiles. 'Not that any would know, but yes. A demons blood runs hot.' Madesta nods slowly. 'Tha's about all this line shows...this long one here.' Madesta traces it around her hand again. 'Emotion lin'.' She glances up. 'Can Ah see your left palm, please?' Lilith holds out her left hand. Madesta lets go of her right hand, leaving them both face-up. Simultaneously, she traces both hands for the characteristic triangles that match...and finds nothing, instead. 'Lady Lilith...tho' I don' know if this'll mean much to a demoness such as yoursel'...you have no soulmate.' She says uneasily. Lilith merely continues to smile, mostly to herself then the seer. Madesta says 'Ye're a lone soul, too powerf'l to withstand the presence of other, weaker souls in a bond like anything appro'ching' love for long.' Tilting her head, the Dark Lady says 'It does, but I had already assumed I did not have one.' Madesta nods slowly. She drops her hands to the side. 'P'raps if you had those lines, there'd be others besides...but b'yond what I've jus' told you, your palms are unreadable.' Madesta bows her head. 'My apol'gies for not being of more information.' Llith nods slightly, almost approavingly. 'You've told me more than anyone else did, others just refused to read them.' Madesta grins a little. 'I can't say I wasn' afraid.' Lilith rests her chin in her hands again. She smiles slightly. 'I would think you a fool if you were not.' Madesta says 'I'd think m'self crazy if I were not.' She stands, getting off the throne and standing before it. Lilith unfolds her wings and stretches them. Madesta pushes herself up on her staff. Lilith waves a dismissive hand. 'You may go now if you wish.' Madesta bows slightly, smiling. 'Thank you, Lady Lilith. If you e'er need my services...' Lilith shoots a glance at the old woman. 'I will find you.' Madesta nods and hobbles out of the room.
