Medea Morh, the Goddess' Mortal form
The mortal life of Medea was uneventful for the most part.
The daughter of a rich Lord and a slave woman. She
didn't have a hard life, but she was no pampered princess
either. Unlike most of those born to slaves, Medea was not
to become one herself, and grew up accepted by her father
and loved by her halfbrother. Her father, Lord Detean Morh,
was a kind and loving man and follower of the Goddess Caitlynne.
He had only two children, a son from his deceased wife and
Medea. Because Medea was an illegimate child, she would never
be an heir to her families fortune, but neither did she have
the responsiblities, such as arranged marriage that other
noble woman did. She grew up a free and sometimes wild
spirit because of this.
The young Medea would meet and befriend many different people,
paladins, sages, thieves, rangers, warriors and priests. It
would be a lone mage that would in the end catch her eye
and send her down a long and dangerous path. The mage was
a priest of Night. Once a worshipper of Night, the true
Goddess of Night, he later become her High Priest. The Goddess
later disappeared along with all but two of the old gods. When
Night left, another immortal took over. An evil half-demon
known as Vector. Once a neutral religion, the following soon
became dark and corrupt. The High Priest sought to get rid of
Vector before the true powers of Night were lost. He took
Medea as his apprentice and taught her all he knew. They
went on like this for many years, Medea fell in love with
her mentor and they were engaged to be married when the dark
betrayal of another priest brought the wrath of Vector upon them.
Vector sent the Assassin's of Chaos after them, the High Priest
died defending his beloved, allowing her to escape. She swore
vengence on the false god, but lacked the power to kill him,
it was then that she turned to the city of Kal Tirith for
the powerful drow mage that was said to live there. She found
him and forged a dark oath with him, now she was ready to
face the God of Night.
